I regularly and actively participate in this site and enter the contests posted here. I really do love that they give stuff away here. So I wanted to post some positive criticism. Why do they reward hot deal posts and referrals so much? As someone who posts predominantly in the contest section that is 600 entries I always miss out out.
My suggestion is give people who post contests some equal credit entry wise. I would like to see some kind of reward for posting a certain number of contests.
For example, every 20 contests you post you get 25 entries. With a cap of 200 extra entries.
Also how about a reward for HOT contests.
For example, every contest you post that gets over 1,000 page views you you get 25 entries. With a cap of again in the same 200 range.
Doing the above changes would make things a lot more fair for the people who work so hard in the sweeps/contests forum. I think the content I post/create deserves to be rewarded in this way. My contests I post are equal to the effort of posting a great deal.
New members frequently ask what contests are right for me? My advice generally is single entry contests from well known companies. These are great for those without huge time commitments
That would be nice but then we'd also need to include extra entries for tech support, freebies, people who add a lot of coupons to that forum...etc.
Which is why we have the extra entries for the longevity aspect.
Seems unfair, I contribute as much as the deal people If anyone cares about the contest aspects of the site, its the participants in the sweeps/contest section. Entering contests is quite time consuming.
