I can only imagine the internet rage that'll ensue on day 1 when no one can log in since servers will be brought down due to the overwhelming amount of people trying to log on at the same time.

Wish Blizzard would allow online retailers to delivery this on the 14th instead of the 15th.

Well, the fact that the preorder is sold out every where and buy.com is still letting you place multiple orders is why I was sceptical

To answer your question, Buy.com has been around for a good little while, and has been the host of many a good deal here on Slickdeals. you shoudl be safe preordering from them, although i have not done so myself in the past, i also haven't heard of many if any bad experiences. granted, i also haven't looked for any Big Grin

These games are surprisingly addictive, try one and I'd be willing to bet you'd find it more entertaining than you'd think. You could always pick up Torchlight or Titan Quest on the cheap to try the genre

Agreed.

I don't consider myself that much of a nerd but it is incredibly easy to get sucked into these games...they are simple but have a decent story and tons of options and things to do.

Never found the Diablo series to be addictive. It felt like any other campaign type of game to me. As in, good for 2 or maybe 3 runs but no real reason to come back and play some more. I'm not saying the game is bad as there are a lot of good games that don't have high replay value like Batman Arkahm city. Just saying that the end game isn't there for me to come back and play it over and over again. With the new design of b.net, the social experience is really lacking so I think that's going to have a huge negative impact on replay value.

can but won't

Unless you're spending 15+ hours a day grinding for items extremely efficiently I wouldn't expect to make any real money on the RMAH.

I'm thinking about purchasing a bot. I know someone who did the same for D2 and he never got caught. Bots also still exist in WoW because there's no real way for Blizzard to stop them. Blizzard's approach to stopping bots in WoW is to check how long someone has been playing the game. If someone has been playing WoW for 1 month straight without a break then they will get a GM to whisper and see if someone is at the computer. If no one answers, they get the boot or banned. That's really the only way they can catch you.
