Good, not great. The Griot model a week or two back was more powerful and had a better warranty for $90 or so.

I have the 7424XP and really don't see the need for more power, it's not a high speed buffer. This is a pretty good deal for a great little machine. TU!!

I agree, definitely a good price, but nothing earth shattering. Brand new ones have sold anywhere from $92 to $120 on Ebay within the last week. However, as of right now this is the cheapest price you can get one of these for, so thumbs up OP.

+4 Reps for a tool deal....... I'd love to see more tool deals on slickdeals.

Nice machine polisher! Most would consider the PC 7424 and its derivatives the benchmark for DA's.

Note to folks who get in on this deal. You need to get a velcro backing plate [autogeek.net] if you intend on using it for polishing. I prefer using a 5" plate and using it with 5.5" pads.

What other pads/accessories would I need to buy for this to detail my car? Sorry for the noob question, but I'm very new to the random orbitals

Or just pay $6 more and get this one that includes a 6" backing plate straight from Amazon.. and use the 6.5" pads sold on Amazon or Autogeek

you will need yellow or orange pads for compounds, white for polishes, and red for wax and sealant
