I just tried to log into HHonors account and it says
We're sorry we cannot access customer profiles at this time. We are temporarily experiencing technical difficulties. You may book your reservations without signing in. Be sure to provide your HHonors account number on the Guest Information page during booking.
This worked for me as of 4/4/2012 Noon.
Followed instructions from THATGUY.
1. Changed Country name to Australia in my Account. Make sure to logout after this step.
2. Clicked on the link provided by RJ Schmoove.
3. Entered 4423 9400 0000 0008
4. Click Verify and it got verified.
5. Enter account login info as asked. You will get booking form. Ignore it.
6. Close the browser and go to www.hiltonhonors.com and login with your user. You'll see the status updated to Gold.
