Now THAT is balls-out weird, man...I just...well, you'll see...
Had no idea what you were talking about until i saw your post in the other thread. FYI, it's a family guy reference in case you hadn't caught on.
Achievements are not for the meek, it is better to forfeit inheritance of the earth so that the mighty may look upon my gamerscore, and despair. Achievements are for men who dream; men who dare; men who achieve! Men who carve out entire galaxies with nothing more than nimble cheetos-dusted fingers and their wits, and in our leisurely twilight days we shall sit by softly flickering fires with our descendants recounting the tales of these unimaginable glories.
Yes, I will lose out on pixelated awesomeness but what else?
Honestly you will miss out on a lot; that is of course if you find enjoyment in playing video games. The list is staggering and ever-growing. However, there are millions who find fulfillment in everything else that life has to offer, who could not care less to ever play a video game.
My suggestion to you is to seek out whatever has taken your attention from games and give it all you have. If it turns out you enjoy it more than you did playing video games, if you find yourself craving 'it' more than the games you used to play or could play in the future, then consider yourself the better for having found what you truly enjoy. If not, then I'm sure previous posters have alluded to a number of games on the horizon.
PC - BF3, Dead Island, Trine 2
Wii U - Black Ops 2, Nintendo Land, Sonic All-Stars Racing Transformed, Super Metroid
Chaelek: If a loved one were hypothetically kidnapped and I showed up at your door, bloody and disheveled, clutching the ring, would you help me save them, buddy-cop movie style?
Patrick Rothfuss: Oh hell yes.
So first you criticize toolio, then emulate him. I think I see how this works...
I didn't even read any other posts on this thread as you can see when I said "then I'm sure previous posters have alluded to" so if toolio posted something similar to my post earlier on then good for him. Perhaps he has a bullshit switch he can turn off. Maybe there's hope for him. Meanwhile I try to keep my posts level most of the time. Do you see how that works? Psh, emulate him, what's the point?
Ha ha ha! Oh gosh that's funny! That's really funny! Do you write your own material? Do you? Because that is so fresh. "Cool story, bro." You know, I've, I've never heard anyone make that joke before. Hmm. You're the first. I've never heard anyone reference, reference that on the internet before. Because that's what the kids these days say on the internets and in the frathouses, right? Isn't it? "Cool story, bro." And, and yet you've taken that and used it out of context to insult his post in this situation. God what a clever, smart person you must be, to come up with a joke like that all by yourself. That's so fresh too. Any, any Twilight or Hunger Games jokes you want to throw at me too as long as we're hitting these phenomena at the height of their popularity. God you're so funny!
