Consumerist: EA is the worst company in America

nothing about governemnt regulation is capitalism.

if 15billion dollars keeping a few hundred thousand people employed, i'm ok with it. you'd spend about 8 billion in unemployment ($400 wk * 99 wks *200000 people). the economic impact would be crazy. companies like delphi would also be hurt. detroit would go belly up from lack of tax revenue, who will pay for that?

yeah, in an ideal world gov does not have to step in. but the way the economy just fell apart, some one needed to. the only good thing obama has done while in office is the cash for clunkers, bank bail out and gm bail out. the rest of his term has been marked with failure (ie recovery program, budget, defecit). (don't cite osama, that was all the cia/nsa/dod).

Sure it's a loss before it's sold. If you buy Google stock right now for $650, and tomorrow it goes to $1, you have a loss of $649 until/if it goes back to $650. You can't just say I'm going to hold onto it until the end of time therefore it's not a loss. Not to mention the taxpayer money tied up in GM stock could be actually used for something instead of being vaporware until the stock is sold.

Besides the money still tied up in the stock, money keeps getting thrown at the Volt.
