Tax still kills the deal for me in NYC.

I see tons of 8s. Those are typically buyers remorse returns, which means they are frequently better than the "refurbished" brown box ones.

The touch description makes me think it's resistive touch rather then capacitive. In which case I would wait for something better

Not sure if you're being facetious or you just don't know about the HTC Flyer. In any case, this is a capacitive screen, not resistive.

Use google to search for specs of products. This isnt one of those smart remarks. I just know cowboom is lacking on specs of the products they sell. Yes, its capacitive multi-point.
