That's just amazon's regular return policy. For most big screen TV sold by Amazon, it is covered by their "Free 30 Day TV Returns". Basically it means that within 30 days if you are not happy with the TV you can return it @ Amazon's cost.

Yes, Always Amazon is the best place for shopping.
But for this Deal, i will still go with Toshiba and wait for this week. Hopefully they will ship soon for all of us.
Getting Faulty set is depend on bad luck.

Truthfully, we haven't established that it even existed yet so I don't think it's fair to call it "dead!"

Just started thinking so what happens if we get delivered a broken or bad tv from toshiba direct? Are we stuck with it? Or is there any warranty coverage for replacement or repair? Starting to wonder more about this... Lets hope they ship them protected good enough.

"Sales of Toshiba television products are final. TAIS will not issue an RMA or accept returns of these products, whether for exchange or credit. Television products must be repaired or replaced in accordance with the Toshiba television product warranty."

This is what the website said. I think they are referring to the fact that as you can return a TV to amazon without any hassle, they will not accept any returns or give any refunds, but they will still honor the standard TV warranty found here:

Toshiba should come and fix it for you. If that happens I will get my money back from AMEX.

So are any of you buying a squaretrade warranty also? Or is it worth it?


So how does the square trade warranty work. I ordered the tv from toshiba on april 10th, but I don't receive it until lets say May 9th or 10th. can I still purchase
a warranty say through Costco?

As per SquareTrade's website:

"For items with delayed shipment: If you purchase an item that doesn't ship immediately, as long as you can provide us with proof of the actual date the item was shipped, we will be happy to change your coverage start and end date. To do this, please call us at 1-877-WARRANTY (1-877-927-7268)."

and then Costco's website states:

"How the SquareTrade Service Works
(Service Plan must be bought within 60 days of TV purchase)


Costco members may also purchase a SquareTrade Service plan to cover a new TV purchased outside of Costco from an authorized retailer in the US. Service Plan must be bought within 60 days of purchasing the TV."
