Discounted Amazon GC's/Credit?

I am planning some Amazon purchases soon and am looking for any way to purchase credit at a slight discount safely.

Any ideas how/where I could purchase some?

I'm not looking for huge savings, even $4 for every $5 would be welcome.

Is this typical savings or am I just wasting my time looking?

Honestly, I think you're wasting your time looking. Amazon.com GCs are hardly ever discounted. On eBay they even sell for MORE than face value.

If you have a Chase Freedom card activated for the 5% bonus categories, you can get 5% off grocery store purchases (including Amazon gift cards)

If you have an AMEX Blue Cash Preferred card, you can get 6% off at the grocery store for purchases of Amazon gift cards.

If you have an AMEX Blue Cash Everyday card, you can get 3% off at the grocery store for your purchase of Amazon gift cards.

There are other ways to earn free Amazon gift cards. You can check out www.swagbucks.com and earn points to get free Amazon gift cards - points can be earned by watching videos, taking surveys, etc. Swagbucks can be kind of a pain, but hey it's free Amazon gift cards with some work.

I guess I won't look around too much more.

I have used Swagbucks a lot in the past, but hit that point where only small point earners remain, so sort of gave up.
