How refurb is refurb?.....A camara has a lot of optical parts. The 1 yr warranty helps though.

Ya I was wondering the same... this is a killer deal if Nikon refurbs are good.
Anyone have experience or knowledge about Nikon refurbs? |

D5100 refurb I got from cameta a couple of months back was excellent. Albeit the first one was DOA, the replacement had only 4 shutter actuations and looked brand new (YMMV of course). Look at those threads. Most feedbacks are very positive, I wouldn't hesitate to buy refurb. nikon personally, especially this comes with a 1 year warranty

How long is the standard nikon warranty for non-refurbed cameras. Tried to look it up but couldn't find the details.

funny thing is I looked up authorized dealers on Nikons website for the d7000 and got this page

D7000 has serious focus issues on few units, if one gets it then it a lemon.. so spend a 100 more for good one.
