This is actually a hot deal since the last known legit ~ $600 sales of the Canon T3i lens kit was about a month ago on eBay. BTW, for those wondering, Fry's is on Canon's authorized dealer list. http://usa.canon.com/app/pdf/dealer/CanonAuthorizedDealers.pdf

If you're looking at getting a DSLR, this is an AMAZING entry point for the price. Much better camera than the T1/T1i/T3/XS/XSi.

I need to turn off my deal alerts...I got this on ebay 3 or 4 months ago for the same price. Wish I had cash to upgrade lenses, the kit isn't really doing it for me. It's a great value, but I want tack sharp all the time.

I think my issue is that I'm in AZ, and there's always so much dust/particulate in the air that it makes everything look hazy & washed out. Not sure how much a circular polarizer would help that...I know it helps with water vapor. http://www.flickr.com/photos/28380409@N07/ |

Thanks OP. Snapped one up to replace both our XS and an older Casio P&S that had been used for video. Even with sales tax in GA, it's a nice deal.

I'll also say that if you like sharpness, a lot of that "tack sharp" in professional photos comes from a touch of post-processing--even if you're shooting on a 1.2L on a 1ds. Nice pictures by the way! |
