Thread Details

Hi, I was going to cancel my Shoprunner account, and when I clicked on my "cancel/manage membership" tab, an ad popped up that says: Limited Opportunity With No Cost To You!

Thinking of cancelling? Well, we have great news for you.
We want to extend your membership FREE for 90 days!

Get to know us better! Convert your trial into a FREE 90-Day ShopRunner Membership!
The best part is you will NOT be billed at the end of the free 90 days. No strings attached.

That's not all, use ShopRunner three times during the 90 days and we'll give you a FREE 1-Year Membership!

Place 3 orders by July 5th and get a FREE Year!

You will NOT be billed at the end of the FREE 90 days.

* By clicking 'Extend My Membership FREE for 90 Days', you will receive an additional 90 days to use ShopRunner. At the end of the 90 days, your membership will automatically be cancelled and your payment method will NOT be charged. If you make three purchases using ShopRunner free 2-day shipping before the 90 day membership expires, you will receive a 1-year free ShopRunner membership!

I read through the fine print, cant find anything stating that this is some sort of trap.

Also did a search and didn't see it posted, let me know what you think!

Yeah I called to cancel and they offered this same deal so I said sure. I've already used it once so only 2 more times for a free year. I just hope that after the year is up and I go to cancel they'll have something similar going cuz I don't use it enough to pay for it but I still want it for the times I do get to use it..lol

Do you have to have a membership already to get this or can we start a free trial account with Shoprunner and then get this deal?

Edit: I created a new trial account, clicked on Manage/Cancel Membership, and got the offer for 90 days or 1 year. Thanks OP.

Thanks op. Shoprunner is awesome but the regular annual $70 something fee is too high.

Matter of opinion there on the fee. I am only 6-7 months into my first year of it and have already saved ~$300 in shipping from Newegg alone. More than paid for the membership.

Yeah, I'm going to have a tough choice to make in a year after my time is up. I'm shocked at how often I have used it. 12 Newegg, 2 NFL shop and 2 GNC's in less than 3 months.

I would actually pay for this service if it wasn't so finicky about what qualifies and what doesn't. Half the stuff on Newegg, it's biggest draw, doesn't qualify. As a free service, that's ok, but if I just paid 80 bucks for it, I'd be pissed.

Same as Amazon. I never pay for prime.

Just about everything sold by Amazon LLC is available for Prime shipping, and even a lot of third party items.

Shoprunner is much more selective about what qualifies, so I think it would be much harder to recoup that $80/year. For free it's a good deal even if you only use it once.

Yeahhhhhhhhh!!!
My 30 days are expired tomorrow and i got another 3 months for free. I live in CA and mostly shop on amazon for free taxes and freeshipping. I paid $39 for prime and it worth every penny! For shoprunner i dont see the benefit because most order i placed at drugstore are not shoprunner qualify. Toyrus are even worse- only instore pick up! NEWEGG is ok because without shoprunner i still get package in 1 day! With shoprunner you can share account easily
Im typing this message on kindle fire- and i cant find comma key so i have to use - key Smilie)

Great post, thanks and repped!!

I already have a one-year free trial, and have added my "family"members for free (much like you can do on Amazon Prime).

But, I wanted to try this out, so I created a new 30-day trial account with a different e-mail address using my same credit card, then logged out. Then, about 10 min. later, I went in to cancel it. As soon as I tried to cancel it, the offer for the free 90 day no strings attached came up. However, when I try to click the button to take advantage of the offer, nothing happens.

Maybe I have to wait a few hours or a day then try again. I will do that.

My point however is that it looks like you might be able to sign up for the 30 day trial, then immediately cancel it to get the 90 day trial while securing the offer for the free one year membership after using it three times during the 90 day trial.

So, don't waste time using the 30 day trial, just sign up and cancel right away and then go right to the 90 day trial and get your required three uses in so that you become eligible for the one-year membership for free.
