Hi, I was going to cancel my Shoprunner account, and when I clicked on my "cancel/manage membership" tab, an ad popped up that says: Limited Opportunity With No Cost To You!

Thinking of cancelling? Well, we have great news for you.
We want to extend your membership FREE for 90 days!

Get to know us better! Convert your trial into a FREE 90-Day ShopRunner Membership!
The best part is you will NOT be billed at the end of the free 90 days. No strings attached.

That's not all, use ShopRunner three times during the 90 days and we'll give you a FREE 1-Year Membership!

Place 3 orders by July 5th and get a FREE Year!

You will NOT be billed at the end of the FREE 90 days.

* By clicking 'Extend My Membership FREE for 90 Days', you will receive an additional 90 days to use ShopRunner. At the end of the 90 days, your membership will automatically be cancelled and your payment method will NOT be charged. If you make three purchases using ShopRunner free 2-day shipping before the 90 day membership expires, you will receive a 1-year free ShopRunner membership!

I read through the fine print, cant find anything stating that this is some sort of trap.

Also did a search and didn't see it posted, let me know what you think!
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

I searched the forum and couldn't find it posted (that may be because so many deals say shop runner in them) but for the people, like myself, who didn't make it into the free trials here's how its done.

1. Create a new shop runner account [shoprunner.com] and select 1 month free trial. ( you have to enter your credit card number, but it can be cancelled right after)

2. Go into your account information and cancel the auto renew subscription.

3. This prompts for a risk free 3 month trial and says if you use shop runner 3 times in 3 months they will give you a 1 year sub for free. Even if you don't use it 3 times it is still a free 3 month trial.

If you want the trial but don't think you will buy that much in three months go check out the american eagle dealposted this morning. Guys can get 1 pair of boxers for almost nothing. Do that three times and 3 uses in 3 months gets met for ~10$.

Thanks for posting, but this is a repost; this deal has been posted twice in the past:
Free 90 Days Shoprunner or 1 Year Free w/ 3 Purchases! on 8/8/2012 andFree ShopRunner for 90 days, or a year! possible ymmv on 4/6/2012.

I do appreciate you searching before posting this though! You may have missed these because you're spelling ShopRunner with two words, when others - including the company itself - is spelling it with one.

Hope this helps,
Tofu Vic

You have to use it 3 times in those three months to get the 1 year trial.

Sorry on the repost. I did search single and two word and then with trial in it. I kept finding all kinds of results because people title things free with shoprunner. Thanks for being polite and informal about it though. I do appreciate that one

Great for existing users, but I would appreciate OP putting "for existing users" in the title.

I don't know what I'm doing wrong, but I just can't seem to get this to work. I have an existing account. When I go into my account and click "cancel membership" I get the options:

Are you sure you want to cancel?

Don't forget your account is already set to Do Not Renew so you can continue to enjoy membership benefits until 12/31/2012. You will receive no further charges from ShopRunner.

Make no changes to my account at this time and continue to save with ShopRunner.

Cancel my membership. I will no longer have access to benefits and will not receive a refund from ShopRunner. See our policies.

Am I supposed to actually cancel my account before I get the popup? I'm afraid I'm really going to cancel my account and I don't want to do that!

Any help would be appreciated.

The $70 fee is too high and probably wouldn't save me any money. I'd love to have a free year trial, but I'll wait until Shoprunner offers it to me without having to do anything.

I am nearing the end of my 30 day trial and I have used it a few times without problems, well I got the free 90 day message and 1 year if 3 purchases were made offer and am wondering if this is legit? I did some google searching and see many people having problems with shoprunner taking their $79 anyway...I know a lot of people use shoprunner on here and was wondering if any of you had problems like that? Otherwise it seems almost too good to be true that they will just give you a free year. Thanks
