most of the info i checked was accurate, my sim lock says "no", have you tried checking your phone with another sim and activating? (i can send you a pic of my email/instructions if it helps solve it, but basically, backup/restore, and then try to activate with another sim (IE a t-mobile micro sim)

Put in the request on 5/2, no phone call, no email from at&t, but after two days, great success! This 4s hasn't even been opened yet.

I used them for a couple of months... once I started getting around 5000 texts a month they'd basically cancel my plan and I couldn't receive or send texts, only calls.

I use/average around 10k texts every month, so it didn't work out for me, so I'm back on AT&T, which is good if you have multiple lines...

It worked fine for me, and I used Callingmart. You have to use the Transfer Number page, not the Activate page.

just because you had shitty luck dealing with ATT doesn't mean others can't

besides, it was easy before, we literally pounded their 800 number until we get someone that will unlock it for us, we just didn't take no or case number for an answer and kept calling until we got someone to unlock it

last night i just got lucky, she remembers us because we were all talking to her at the same time and had her hold the line for us while we get IMEI from slurring drunks, thats how she remembers us

i letting people know, if you get the right rep and can convince them to do an unlock, they can do it for you, instantly

Not good. ATT promised a lot of us that it will unlock the phones for non-customers but it ate its words.

Until you get the phone really unlocked, keep your fingers crossed.

don't worry that is the same rep that i got yesterday, you should be getting an unlock email in a couple of hours if you're an AT&T customer. No worry there.

YAY !!!!!

Finally, I managed to get my iphone 4S unlocked instantly thru chat... This would have been my 6th or 7th try... Each and every REP is so different... FCUK ATT...
