I have a feeling these use those TN panels that Hannspree/Hanns-G/I-Inc are famous/infamous for. I'd recommend getting a regular 32" HDTV, even if it's 720p, just to get the LCD panel with wider viewing angles.
Just throwing this out there, but mwave also has the non-basketball version of this, refurb, for $189.99, but if you're buying it primarily as an HDTV and not a part-time monitor, don't even think about it -- buy something else. http://www.mwave.com/mwave/SKUSea...01920x1200 Last edited by Technosquid; 04-07-2012 at 02:32 PM.. Lies, damned lies, and contrast ratios.

great deal on 28" 1920x1200 screen, 2x hdmi.
friggin ugly, doesn't look like it is easily removable from basketball. If I were in the market for a screen I'd consider seeing if I could renovate it (I guess at the very least you could paint it). Also looks like it's fairly heavy (35lb, vs other screens @ 15lb). I had a 22" hannsG monitor that lasted 4+ years (still going), loved it. |

Would this be considered 1200p? It feels wrong to call it 1080p when it's 1900x1200...
I are confused about how walmart contradicts itself: With a 1920 x 1080 Full HD resolution True 16:9 aspect ratio Scroll down a lil... Image Aspect Ratio: 16:10 Resolution: 1920 x 1200 |

(1) Notice cconklin has failed to follow up on his first post in this thread? Makes me wish I could thumbs down a post.
(2) Somewhere,a guy is saying, "I thought it would sell like hotcakes. A TV shaped like a basketball. It was a can't miss idea!"...as he cleans out his desk and plans to visit the unemployment office. (3) Everybody saying "I would buy this if it wasn't shaped like a basketball:" The reason this thing is so cheap is because it's a shaped LIKE A FRIGGIN' BASKETBALL and they couldn't sell it. If it was just a 28" television, you wouldn't be getting this deal. |
