do not understand these widescreen GPS. why I care about the road map on my left and right hand side. I need road info in the front.

good deal, but I need one that accepts video-in for a backup camera. They are EXTREMELY hard to find. Anyone know of a decent one with video-in?

What is the bluetooth used for on this gps, can i connect my tablet up to this gps unit and use it as a gps receiver?

i would expect to see this at a lower price from other etailers soon because they probably have the 15% fees added in the price

It is designed to work with your phone as a headset.
Many fancy cars already have this built-in. But for me, this is a huge plus. Cops in NE are very good at catching people talking on the phone.

I picked up the last one at my local sams club for $71 it was opened but in perfect working condition. I am a long time Magellan GPS user, BIG difference is with the Garmin If I am planning a trip to Wisconsin from Illinois, I have to change the state on the Garmin to Wisconsin before I can enter the address. Never had to do that with Magellan. But for the price and Lifetime maps I will get use to it!

How does this compare to the past GPS deals? I think there was 1300LM, 1260T, 2450LM, 2300LM, and even a 1695... Maybe some others.. there have been so many!

Newegg has been selling this model for $129.99 for a while now. I purchased one for my parents about a month ago. They love it. 5" is about the largest screen size you'll find on units that are reasonably priced. Here's the link for newegg http://goo.gl/UMG2y It's a refurbished unit so the OP's find is still a better deal, it's worth looking at if it goes OOS before you get a chance to buy one.

To set via point, zoom in/out, pan to the section on map you wish to modify, hold finger on alternate spot for a second, release--an arrow followed by a bubble will appear, click on bubble, select GO, a prompt for new or via will appear, select via , alternate route will appear Last edited by thelatest2008; 04-09-2012 at 05:18 AM..
