http://www.hhgregg.com/content/ar...efunds_faq I returned the Kitchen aid disposal to them after 16 days and got 100% of my money back and it was a closed box here in NC......Credited to my account in less than 24hrs...... We bought a front loader washer and dryer from Worst Buy 2 yrs ago. They didn't show two times when delivery was promised ( waited almost 2 weeks in end ), and they forgot the dryer cord and had to come back with it later.....I NEVER got my rebate for the delivery fees as promised and they damaged a door and said they would fix it and never did properly. They said I could pay to have it fixed and send them the bill......yeah right. They NEVER offered to make it right in the end or even offer any kind of deal for the problems they created. I will never deal with them again even if they don't have a restocking fee. Customer service is key to me and even with this being my first major purchases with hhgregg they came in above and beyond. They dealt on the sales prices already posted which were lower than any local competitor to make the sale easier. They even had me write down what I wanted to pay and see what they could do and prices that came back were almost dead on. NO other retailer around here would do that and always heard the posted price is what you pay..... They stated delivery day two days later and came on time and called before coming. I opted to pick up our microwave at local warehouse on way home and they had it ready that day. The delivery people wore booties on their shoes in the house and were super careful bringing stuff in. Had a issue with one item and easy exchange next day as well as I got my 69.99 rebate for delivery fee refunded in 3 weeks. Store manager, salesman and even delivery people were way more knowledgeable than most of the other places I have dealt with around here in the last 30 yrs of home ownership... I don't work for them but after spending $6,000.00 on appliances for our kitchen I was more than satisfied with the service we got. Only complaint is their service contracts cost a little more than others but they cut a deal on two of those we needed to to closer match competitors prices on them..... LINK Look half way down.... And as far as following simple instructions, I think it is up to the individual stores as to whether or not they charge a restocking fee. Just do a google search for HHGregg and restocking fee and you will be bombarded with information. |

Don't see unopened box on there?? Like I said I returned something and never got charged a restocking fee. We actually bought a 2199.00 fridge first and it was brought in. Wife decided she didn't like the white finish so we ordered a new bigger SS fridge. They refunded 100% of that too and it was a open box after they opened it. I really think its up to the store and the managers on sale. There are just as many bad things about BB on the web and a google search will hit you with that too.....I actually saw them tell a person yrs ago that they " Had to open his laptop box before he left to make sure all the software was in there" Found out later that they did this to almost everyone one as it made it a open box and the customer couldn't return for full price. That`s sleazy business practice and the web search will show other things like this. I wish I did the internal audits and theft on that store!!! |

Thats exactly what HH Gregg did to me. They opened the car radio I bought to make sure everything was in it - so it was opened. I never removed the tape they put back on it so to me it was unopened. It wasn't worth extreme complaining because it was only a $60 radio. They just lost a customer for life and someone who will post to warn others. Glad you had a good experience. The lesson here is that with stores like HHGregg and Best Buy, make sure to completely understand the stores particular return policy. |
