Been looking for a good small digital tuner FM radio, such as Sangean brand. How's it as an FM radio? Good reception? PLL tuner?

I was thinking of getting this because it looked pretty sleek but it doesn't have an expansion memory card slot like most all of the Sansas I'm currently using.

I think it would be fine if you will put in USB power adapter, not computer. Test it and if that's true, you can find an USB port adapter, which leaves only USB power (cuts the data wires)...

aren't most modern FM receiver designs PLL? what else would you use? foster-seeley discriminator? wouldn't really be compatible with a tiny pcb.. I was under the impression radio designs didnt distinguish themselves so much in their choice of demodulation scheme, as in their choice of antenna (and possibly rf preamp). And for portable handheld radios, I thought most of them just used your headphone cord as the antenna. So the reception would really just depend on your choice of headphones. But please correct if I'm wrong, I'm also interested in good radio reception, thanks.

I guess it -looks- crappy, and has no fancy features, but its selling point is good battery life, and drag and drop simplicity for a good price. Does the A series have better sound quality? Let me know if you know from personal experience..
