Disneyland Park Hopper tickets transferable?

Several years ago, I purchased multi-day Disneyland Park Hopper (California) tickets and was able to give them away to someone else that was able to use the remaining days I happened to have left, as long as it was before 13 days from first use. I'm planning another trip to Disneyland and wondering if this will still work.

I've heard from some people that the park might now use some fingerprinting or something that would prevent someone else from using my tickets. Anyone know if this is true or if there's anything that would prevent someone else from using my remaining days if I gave away the tickets? TIA
