I refuse any AR deal for SSD. The AR basically makes it impossible to return. well I forgot, newegg never allows return of SSD anyway.

If Amazon can PM this at $254, for CA this is a great deal. Best to be used as data drive.

Nobody allow the return of anything once the UPC is cut or gone. BM or mail all dont do it. Only exchange.

Then make sure you install it and test it before sending in the rebate. You are shooting yourself in the foot by immediately cutting that UPC and mailing it in before making sure the thing even works. This goes for ANYTHING with a rebate.

Also, a blanket statement such as "They will replace with another refurbished on your own shipping" is way off base. Sure, some vendors will charge you for shipping. However, many will pay for shipping in both directions or will only charge you for an expedited shipping method for your RMA.

This is the best price per gig for force gt, one of the top rated ssds. I havent had problems with the ars I did so far, just make sure to test and make sure is.not doa before you send it in.

Even though kingston screwed me on their rebate for the 64 v100 last year, have been using as a boot drive with no problems, though I won't buy their products anymore with rebates.

I also dont know why manuf likes to do rebate. It is alot of pain. Nobody makes any money off it. It cost the manuf. to print the check n mail it out too. I guess they hope some dont sent in the rebate to make money?

Anything you return you will alway get a remanuf stuff in xchange. Its like that for hard drives, cellphones from your carriers, etc. Unless it is 30 days, u will never get a new one! So its not just OCZ.
