I don't know if this works for all rental companies and YMMV, it has always worked for me with Alamo: I usually look for weekly rental specials (google is your friend, codes are everywhere) and book my rental for the week, even if I only need it for a few days. Upon return check in I only get charged a pro-rated weekly rate X the number of days I actually rented it for, usually less than $20 a day for a full sized car. If you are booking in advance check out carrentalsavers dot com, very good rates for most of the major companies consolidated in one site. Hope this saves someone a few bucks.

Budget has been rolling this promo for some time. First, it was supposed to expire by Dec 31, then Feb 29, then March 31.

Check back and they may extend it again.

Hope so, I need rental on Jun 16, missed this promo by a day. Anyone knows if we can reserve but not pick up until day later or how to get around this?

I am trying to find a one way rental car deal over the May long weekend for one week trip starting in DC and ending in Buffalo,NY. Any suggestions, please ?.

I tried all the codes/options above; the best I got was with Hertz for $430 for a compact car. Hoping to find cheaper than this. Looked up on carrentalsavers site too. No luck.

I'm guessing these are just in the US - In my travels I've never had a coupon code work in Central / South America :/
