Kept getting all sort of 'crashes' - disk read errors, realtek PCIe GBE Family controller errors... I took it apart and reseated the cables and it's passed the 'one day' mark. I noticed the hard drive data cable is sort of wonky - does not fit snugly. I am thinking that was the problem.

I updated the Wiki with how I removed my kickstand to VESA mount the monitor.

For anyone who wants to run Windows 8 Consumer Preview.

I would recommend you do the following:

1. Install the Intel HD Graphic Driver (Windows 7) from Dell OS disc in Windows 8
2. This will allow you to have the Intel Graphic Property tool in Windows 8 Desktop environment
3. Create a custom resolution in the Intel Graphic tool
4. A custom resolution, for example 1880x1060 @ 59/60Hz and set the scaling to "Center Image" (This way it will still run at native resolution without stretching the image)
5. Re-Calibrate your touchscreen (Under Control Panel, Tablet PC Setting)
6. Reset the calibration setting first then calibrate 16 points.

You really need to do edge swiping to bring up menus, switch between app, etc.. and it is difficult for this unit, especially with the bezel, thus lack of precise edge recognition. This will give you the extra spacing you need for the top/bottom and left/right to use the touch gesture.

I had the same issue with the initial machine I received. I suggest you initiate a system exchange. Hardware issues are not something that will simply go away...
