I played this game at PAX East and it is AWESOME! If you love the other Max Paynes I seriously recommend it. Rage engine, beautiful graphics and the game play is spot on with bullet time still. Love it.

Ah I played for like 15 minutes and I was in a bar and then out in the streets of the city. Blew up cars but the game really reminded me of the 1st and 2nd one gameplay wise. Yeah that's all I know about the setting. I'd imagine it would be mixed up more.

Anybody have any opinion if this would be better purchasing on console or PC? I'm conflicted...I have my newegg preorder and it's $14 there (for ps3) but I've upgraded my rig in the last few months so I almost want to get this for PC instead...

Solid deal. I already have MP2 and GTA4, so I'll probably wait a bit, but I got a chance to demo it at PAX East and it's solid. They added a cover system so it's not quite as frenetic, but at the same time there is an emphasis on using bullet time like the old games.

As per the previews i read on it, the PC version is DirectX 11 and seems to be having better graphics/textures.

It looks superior on the PC. I am still trying to justify PC games having the same price or even higher than console games, but in my opinion they shouldn't be (and usually they're like 10 dollars cheaper). If they have a heavy focus on multiplayer with the singleplayer, I might bite on the deal on PC. Thing is, I play console to play with my friends and I've neglected that since I bought Battlefield 3 on my PC, and newegg having it cheaper on console...man I'm having such a difficult time deciding.

This is not linked to Steam/Origin, right?

Do they still use the whole Noir feel and the graphic novel type narration?

Do you get the $10 credit before the game is available? I thought it was usually after release (in case you candel the preorder.) If you don't get the credit now then LA Noir and GTA4 likely won't be free.

You get it right now. I tired cancelling to see what happens and it just cancelled the orders I'd placed for LA Noire and Gta 4. I imagine since it cancelled the orders it also killed the keys I got. Just re preordered though and got the credit and games again.
