There is a great deal of misinformation surrounding the Trayvon Martin shooting. Here are some of the most prominent misunderstandings:

Cops returned the gun to shooter George Zimmerman.

Untrue, according to police. Sanford Officer Tim Smith handcuffed Zimmerman, and then pulled from a holster in Zimmerman's waistband the black Kel Tec 9 mm PF9, a semiautomatic. The gun is now in the possession of authorities, officially part of the evidence in the case.

Really and there was no lynch mob after Casey Anthony?

Here is a prediction: when and if Z is charged. When and if he is no where to be found and therefore should be considered fugitive from justice, watch pro-gun people who pretend to be law and order people to slobber all over this outlaw gun grabber and make themselves into a pretzel excusing his fleeing from justice and continue supporting even his shooting the unarmed innocent teenager.

Rememenber when it was beneficial to them on every turn to take the faux pro law and order position of "let's wait for the investigation to run its course?"

Ok, now the investigation is about to be over. Do you think they would support this republican prosecutor? Lets wait and see.

I have to admit that if I were the prosecutor and know that Zimmerman had gone quiet and stopped talking to his lawyers, I'd have him watched like a goddamned hawk to ensure he didn't leave the state.

Why in the hell would the prosecution try to put that into evidence or even bring that up in the trial? If that's what they have to fall back on, I'd be surprised they would even bring a case forward.

Zimmerman's acting suspiciously. I hope nobody shoots him for it.
