I found this on Lowes' homepage:

"Free Round-Up Refill a $19.97 value, when you buy a Roundup Pump 'N Go.
Offer ends 4/16/2012."

Not sure if it is regional or not though.

Thanks!

Would this be the product to use if I want to mass murder every plant in my back yard, till it over, and lay sod rolls down?

That could get expensive if you have a large back yard, but I really like the Extended Control Round-Up. It performs as advertised from my experience and kills a ton of plants/weeds including grass.

It's a pretty small yard, and I think this combo will do 800 square feet or so. I guess my main concern is, will the "Extended Control" keep working long after I've tilled over and put down new grass, thereby poisoning the plants I actually want to grow? It's probably okay, though.

LOL.....nah...this is for the smaller murdering.....depends how big your backyard is..works great within 48 hours and for a long time..... i use it for pavers and, driveway and around the house. What you want is GRAMAXONE!!! That stuff is evil and it's what PROS use.....will even kill your cats and dogs (seriously). It's been used for suicides, One teaspoon will do.... It's illegal in most countries and many states. So check with your state first and where to find it.

btw, you supposed to let the gramaxone sit for 1 week or 2 before you do anything....It's highly toxic and you should keep pets and children away from it. Only after 2 weeks can you safely manage the soil

Get a goat instead. Plants are already becoming RoundUp resistant. And, Monsanto is selling RoundUp tolerant seeds.
What is it with people's need for a frigging immense green carpet so much that they will use stuff that is toxic?

I blame the 80+ pages of HOA bylaws I had to agree to when buying. There's no section that says I can't saturate my yard with the harshest weed killer on the planet yet I'm specifically prohibited from maintaining livestock. And as anyone with experience will tell you...you don't mess with the HOA. Wink

It's actually "Gramoxone" and you couldn't pay me to have this anywhere near my house. That's how deadly this stuff is.
