Like the price and the hardware, but I am kind of spoiled with the Synology "OS" on my Synology DS-110J.
The OS on this does not get good reviews. Don't you love wikipedia? Have you donated? [wikimediafoundation.org]

But fear not. It's rootable [patriotmemory.com].  I'd love to make a buy at this price. But I still have a bit of storage and buying now just means I'll overpay for hard drives. Only advantage I see over just building a cheap mATX file server is the power consumption. And you could go mITX and get even lower.
