My little brother got this speaker system and it is NICE. Very good bass and sound quality (If you couldn't already tell on Amazon's reviews). Doesn't compare to my 5.1 theater system hooked up to my computer, but for this price it is the best deal you'll find.

I have these speakers and I like them. Great sound and the best part is they seem to use I think only 1 watt from the wall according to my killawatt measuring device. I have some creative labs speakers and they usually suck about 17 watts with them just in the off position. So something to keep in mind when buying speakers for energy efficiency.

I bought the CA-3602 speakers from Amazon 4 months ago and I'm currently happy with the quality for what I paid for at the time ($36.53). My previous CAs (the very first version of what looks like CA-3550) lasted me 4 years. The wiring started to go bad and the left speaker went in and out.
Anyways, the CA-3602 packs PLENTY of power for a bedroom and possibly a living room when turned up all the way. As an audiophile, I'll say that the bass is very strong and prominent, while the treble is also featured well. However, the built-in mid-range sound seems to be lacking and sometimes throws me off. I use an equalizer program in my computer to help compensate for that. But for the price it is at now and for general purpose use, I would still greatly recommend these speakers for a home computer or small room entertainment center. Other random things as a picky audiophile: The desktop pod takes a bit to get used to, as the power switch is very close to the volume wheel and I found myself mistakingly changing volume as I turn the speakers on/off. This is probably just a con for myself as I've found the best speaker volume level for my room. Also, the "meat" of the sound seems to come out in a relatively acute angle, so you can play with the position in which the satellite speakers face you to get a sound sweet spot. Otherwise, sound still projects well and is full, especially the bass. Lastly, the bass sub can sit on a carpeted floor and doesn't have to be placed on wood or a platform in order to project sound well. |
