priceless. OP, good find. 20$ less than Newegg's price. these are great all-in-one processors, much more power than an Atom or Zacate setup and much more capable at doing multiple tasks as well. i have a A6-3670K in my HTPC now, it's been great so far. for the price level, nothing else compares to the cpu/gpu ability combo. ROFL...

The A8 is definitely superior for light gaming, but for an HTPC, video card power is not super important - you just need to have enough to display smooth 1080p (which the Intel 2000 series can do). |

I'm running an A6 in my HTPC. Considering the A8 graphics are about equivalent to a FAR or maybe $10-$15 video card (HD 5450 or so, maybe a tiny bit better), has no L3 cache, and is very difficult to OC, I'd seriously consider other options. Now, if you find a deal where you can get an A75 chip MB with this processor for ~$120, than that's a deal. There have been about 3-4 similar deals on these A-series processors + MB, though only once an A8, over the last year. |
