Comcast is responsible for the line up to your house. Keep cutting the line with the lawnmower and calling them out to fix it. Make sure you get a credit for all days where your service is out. They'll bury it soon enough if you keep up with it. You can do without TV rotting your brain anyway.

That's a pretty radical idea but it could work. I wonder how long it would be of someone damaging their property, the cable lines, before they want their retribution for money lost from the customer. My response, "Pfft, should have buried the damned thing. I warned you, tech support, customer service, and anyone with a Comcast T-shirt."

Thanks all for the help and funny suggestions on how to get Comcast to come out.
Just called them and there was a work order was submitted. They are supposed to come out in 10 days to take care of the cable. We'll see... I'll bump this thread again if they do or don't come out. Thanks again. American Outlaws - USMNT supporters

Comcast had to replace the line from the box to our house a couple years ago. They left the line above ground, but said somebody would come back to bury it a few months later after the ground thawed. Could just be that they just don't bury anything in the northern part of the country (like Chicago) until May, since it's normally cold and frozen and a bit unpredictible before then. This winter has been quite unusual...
