Canon EF 50mm f1.8 mkII prime lens for $99.95 w/ FS

This is the Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 II Camera Lens, AKA the nifty fifty or fantastic plastic.

The lens weighs 4.6 oz. and is for use with Canon EF and EF-S mount SLR cameras.

It is usually had for around $115-120 nowadays, but it's still worth it. It offers fantastic image quality for its price. This lens gives you thin depth of field for that nice bokeh or film effect.

Personally, this is the lens that convinces you that you need to invest in some primes and not just go with all zoom lenses and it doesn't even cost you that much to try it out. I'll probably sell mine once I get my 30mm prime because I have an APS-C sensor.

Under warranty, it does say N/A....so I would make sure this is not a gray market item, as there wont be any warranty. Other than that....This is a great lens!

I think I remember Mac Connection being around forever... that doesn't mean they are a good company, but I don't believe they are a fly by night company either.

And yes, $75 is a great price for the lens, but so is $200 for a T3 after you sell all the lenses. So it is all relative. Considering it was Feb of 2011 that this lens was at $100, I say this is a solid deal for a great performing lens. If Canon wanted to sell this lens for $225 and the 50mm f/1.4 for $400, both would still be great deals. Don't let the price tag jade you on whether or not the lens is worth it.

Having a great time and visiting family are mutually exclusive.

Yes. I have the 60D, a 24-105mm F/4 L, and a 50mm F/1.4, but I had the f/1.8 for about a year paired with the 60D and I was more than pleased with the results. Considering the large aperture and the good/great low light ISO performance of the 60D, I was able to get some very nice low light shots. I'll share one... though I don't like sharing many of my photos of my daughter.
