Daniel Adkins' killer claims self-defense: Unarmed man shot, killed outside Arizona Taco Bell

This is almost exactly the Trayvon case, in reverse...a Black man, shoots and kills a Hispanic man, calls 911, claims self-defense, is NOT arrested by police. The shooter claims the attacker used a pipe or a bat, but from other (of the very few) news items I was able to get, police say no such weapon was found on the scene (and the hispanic man was apparently also mentally retarded with a mental age of a 9 year old)

Yet this hardly got any coverage outside of Phoenix...I saw video clips on Fox from Pheonix TV stations, but I had to re-do the search a few times just to get this article. the main news networks certainly did not cover it, or if they did it was a brief story and dismissed in some fashion. Has Obama been asked to comment about it as he was with the Florida case? Have Sharpton and his ilk of charlatans been trying to jump in front of any camera they can find to talk about this case? Where are La Raza and other supposed Hispanic-rights groups complaining about this?

Why?

Because it doesn't feed the agenda of certain race-baiting groups, sadly, among them Eric Holder and Obama himself. Because none of them are interested in JUSTICE (as everyone jumping in front of the camera about Trayvon is) , they are interested only in POLITICS. They are USING these two poor, tragedy-struck families (destroying one and elevating the other to sainthood) for their own agenda, and will dump them both into the sewer and forget about them as soon as they are done with them and see no more mileage to be gained from the story.

hundreds of blacks are shot and killed across the country every month, I recently read somewhere that something like 93% of them are by other blacks...yet do they get anywhere near the level of coverage the Trayvon / Zimmerman story got? no? could it just be that it doesn't feed some sort of agenda that certain people need to whip up certain groups of voters just before a presidential election? Why else would a democrat-complicit media literally manufacture out of thin-air a whole new category of WHITE LATINO to label zimmerman, with the obvious connotations?

All I am saying is, wake up people, and dont let the media, politicians, and race-baiters with an agenda whip you up and use you for their ends with selected, filtered, and biased stories and coverage.

Make threads that blame Obama and liberals for everything.

Tell people to wake up and stop being fed information from a biased agenda.

That is irony of the highest caliber right there.

Actually Martin was shot about six weeks ago, (it just seems longer since there's been so much attention on the case), and unlike the black shooter of unarmed, mentally challenged Daniel Adkins in Arizona, (who falsely claimed Daniel was armed with a pipe and had struck his car), Zimmerman was arrested that night, and was identified to the press immediately. News coverage was massive, and the president found it necessary to comment on the case. The Arizona case has received almost no coverage in the media, nor has there been any white house comments.

I agree with the OP, that the reason why is that this doesn't fit the agenda.
If you fools disagree, than explain why. Give us the opposing view.

The complacency of the media, and the agenda they push, is certainly worth discussing.
The way NBC pushed the idea that Zimmerman is a racist, by reporting the edited 911 tape, and NY Times race baiting by use of the term, "White-Latino" is outrageous.

I didn't hear anything about the Trayvon Martin case until nearly a month after the shooting.

The Martin case hit the national media much sooner than a month after the shooting. More like a week at most.

But lets revisit the Adkins case in another 3 weeks. I'm sure it will have received similar attention as the Martin case, and the White House will have weighed in.

Not sure how to best set up some search reminders though, since 10 days after the Daniel Adkins shooting, we still don't know the shooter's name.

I guess this would be the same case if Zimmerman is mentally challenged, there was another witness who watched the whole thing and agreed with Zimmerman, and there weren't conflicting reports from the other independent witnesses. Of course, those are a lot of "ifs."

A lot of people were shocked and outraged that Zimmerman wasn't arrested.... some felt like race had something to do with it. Some didn't. I personally didn't care either the victim's or Zimmerman's race and thought that he should've been arrested.

The only thing Daniel had in his hand was the leash for his Yellow Labrador Retriever, Lady. Yet the black shooter wasn't arrested.
