Maybe that's why they have this giveaway in the first place, to catch unsuspecting users running pirated software.

I might do this, but none of the "rewards" seem worthwhile... so no.

I signed up.... i only run windows maybe once a month or when i need to tune my car. Other than that both laptops run dual but with ubuntu. The rest of the time is either tablet or phone which is android.

Anybody installing this on their work computer? I'm not inclined to have this on my home computer.

Anybody see any reasons why I shouldn't install this on my work computer? I work in IT by the way, not that we're exempt from running any old software on our work desktop, but I do think we have some leeway.

However, if this thing repeatedly does crazy sh*t behind the scenes, and the network admins see that it's coming from my PC, that can't be good.

This kind of reminds me of that SETI thing people install back in the dayz (and perhaps still do)

This version of Office 2010 does not include Outlook. Big time fail.

I did this when they offered Vista Ultimate for participating last time, they should have added Windows 8 to the offering.

I did it last time and didn't get squat. I sent them a query and they said they would get back to me. They didn't. I sent them another and never heard back.

Win8 Preview in a VM that's never used + This + Waiting 4 months = Free legal copy of Office?

I'll probably forget about it by then, but wth... I'm in.

Uhh, two of the rewards are Office ($90-$110) and Forza 4 ($50) for basically doing very little.

Just because it may not benefit you doesn't make it bad. Some of us are here for deals, you know.

And though Outlook is a fantastic program, it's far from essential to the average home user.
