Brother SE400 Sewing and Embroidery machine $299+tax at Walmart B&M (also Singer universal soft carrying bag for $17)

Walmart.com and Amazon both have the Brother SE400 for $369, and I couldn't find it for less anywhere else. I know this model has become scarce and even higher-priced before, so decided to bite the bullet and went to some Walmarts that were listed as having "limited stock." Was delighted to find one with a clearance sticker for $299. Checked another Walmart on the way back, and they had 5 at the same clearance price, so it was not just a single store.

This machine is very popular due to its broad capabilities, beginner ease of use, usb connectivity, and low entry price point for computerized embroidery. It has a large community of users and supporters, which is one reason I decided on it. The price has been anywhere from $329 to $489 on Amazon in recent months. Overstock and Allbrands have it for $299 but only for refurbished models.

Also picked up the Sew Essentials universal soft case for $17. Shelf price said $22.77 and there were no signs of a sale, but the price checker read $17.
