but Reach is pretty much a cluster of "let's throw some bad ideas on the wall and see what sticks." a core tenet of what makes Halo a "halo" game is that all players start on the same level playing field. same weapon, same abilities, shields, etc. Halo was originally a pure arena shooter without classes or loadouts. Reach essentially threw that formula (and most of the Halo fans/population) out the window. with Reach and now the alleged Halo 4 changes you get a "rock-paper-scissors" decision at the start of each match and each time you die and respawn. giving players "choice" in their loadouts/perks/abilities essentially creates massive imbalance in the game (especially when those choices include armor lock, jetpack, and active camo). i was really hoping that Halo 4 would return to a pure arena shooter where all upgrades, abilities, and weapons were found on the map and were fought over. apparently they've decided to go farther down the path away from traditional Halo and more toward the wave of modern shooters. don't get me wrong, i love BF3 and used to love COD, but Halo was always my favorite because it was different; because games came down to outsmarting, outplaying, or just being better than the other team. tl;dr - Reach is the worst Halo game to date and 4 looks like it will be only slightly better, ergo no preorder for me hit the front page twice now. better than winning a game of bingo.
