Cruies for 5 days family of 4 help ?

For a first cruise, the kids will love any cruise line, any itinerary. All lines have kids' clubs with lots of activities going on during sea days. The kids have a great time, and you get some peace and relaxation . I would look at the combined cost of airfare and cruise to narrow things down. I don't know how expensive flights to Florida ports are from Chicago, but there are also cruises out of NY and Baltimore during the summer. The itineraries aren't the greatest from the latter two ports, but, again, it's the cruise experience that the kids will enjoy, not touring a port.

I find www.vacationstogo.com to be a great starting point for finding cruises because they have an easy to negotiate listing of cruises. I've never booked with them because I can usually find better prices elsewhere.

cruisesonly.com has some of the best deals. carnival is great for families and it's on the less expensive side
