That's $16 (less your cost of gas) better than my pair shipped...and...you get them pronto! Too bad they don't have a store here.
Store is about 5 miles away, so I would say I made out well haha Smilie

Anyone think a Yamaha RX-V665 is too weak for these?

If 665 really delivers 90W RMS as stated, then this will be plenty for these.

Not trying to TC but I bought a pair of these BP6 at 6Ave maybe 3 years ago for $250 for the pair. They're OK for $250, but anything more I'd probably go with the Polk Monitor 70.
You bought these speakers for $125/each? Hmmm....

The grills do not come off these. They use a sock that goes around the whole speaker.

To me the entry level DefTech is kind of like a Porsche 944, Oh sure, it won't compete with a 911, but it's still a Porsche with decent power and build. ...and douche factor aside, name recognition is what it is.

Energy, JBL, Polk ... they are Cameros at best ...
I don't know much about cars. It's would be better if it would be better if you use a analogy with Intel CPU. Big Grin

Ive owned Bp10's for ten years. GREAT speakers but they need about 18" of space away from the walls for proper imaging.

Yep. In order to expose the speaker drivers, you would need to remove the speaker cloth that completely surrounds the speaker. I pulled the cloth down to look at the drivers and the rear port but I think it would be difficult to permenantly remove it.

Also, the speaker cabinet is a dull black MDF. It's not really meant to be exposed.
