Same here, the store manager would not PM. I am going to wait for the price drop. Dont need it at the moment.
Sears suck!

EDIT: Those of you that PM'd me for the store number and info, were you successful in getting a price match? |

Not sure that it matters too much to you guys, but I think I have figured out how to tell if the Q has the updated regulator or not. The old version [ebay.com] has a straight-through alignment. The grill with this regulator will only take the skinny bottles that you typically see on propane torches. The new version [ebay.com] has an "S" alignment and will take the larger camping style bottles.
I went to Ace and checked out the one they had on display and it would not take the bigger propane bottle. I am guessing the ones at Sears have the older one. That being said, given the prices I am seeing on these, i would still jump on the older one if I could find it for $100. They seem to be all sold out here except for the display model they have a sears that is missing parts. They wouldn't knock it down from the $100 clearance when I called and asked, they just said they would ship it back to Weber. mmmmmmmmmm beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeer

Sorry, I realize that I wasn't clear. Ace still has it for 150, there is 1 sears here that has one in stock for 99 but it is missing parts. I may have to go check it out anyway and see what is missing. There seems to be a lot of parts available on ebay and amazon for it. I'm just not sure I want to mess with the skinny propane bottles though. Which regulator does yours have on it?

You again? Take your screed against Weber somewhere else yurmaster - this is at least the third thread where you've come in to bash them. You may very well be an excellent griller, but your constant bashing of Weber does no one a service except to push people to cheaper grills that won't last nearly as long, or have anywhere near the support that Weber provides. Don't get me wrong, there are other excellent grills out there such as BroilKing or Napoleon. This is a fantastic deal if you can replicate it. The Q's are made in the USA too if that matters to you. I would love to find one for my father in law. |

Thanks OP, got mine at Clackamas Town Center Sears in Portland. Got it for $100, still a great deal. I'm going to check back in with them at the end of the month and see it the price drops. Sears has a 14 day price guarantee.
Think they said they had one more in stock, didn't show in the inventory, but the warehouse guy said there was one more. Last edited by homeeey; 04-20-2012 at 08:37 AM.. |
