Free LA Zoo Family Pass

Crap, first SoCal has to put up with years of unprovoked attacks from NorCal. Finally, that played itself out and settled down.

Now, we getting it from down south? What gives with the animosity

The website is up now and this is what I saw:

" A promo code claiming to offer a free family membership to the Zoo was circulated online by third parties. This offer was not valid; neither the Zoo nor GLAZA issued or approved any such offer. A programming glitch allowed users to enter the invalid code and get a thank you message, despite the fact that no membership transaction had occurred. Steps are being taken to address this programming glitch and prevent future confusion.

We apologize for any inconvenience caused by this programming glitch, which did not occur on www.lazoo.org and was not endorsed or promoted by Zoo staff. Thank you for your understanding."

So no free memberships!

As far as the quality of the LA Zoo goes, it's not horrible at all. Thanks to the work my ex did with the zoo, we entered for free. I doubt anyone attending would be sorry they paid to do so.

It was obviously through their site and there was a glitch with the promo code. Them saying the promo code was unauthorized is BS because if you look at my earlier post, I quoted a few people I found online that used the code for 20% off of a membership, so it was a VALID code.

I'm upset that this didn't work out, but you're seriously threatening to call a lawyer because you can't visit the zoo?

LA Zoo is non-profit organization and their membership is tax deductible. Buy yourself one and write it off on your tax return next year, it's all for good cause.

It is a non valid code because the code isn't a new one, but an expired code from maybe last year. For whatever reasons, their systems apparently glitched and allowed the code to be used and instead of taking any percent off, it just did not process correctly and made it look free. Anyone who threatening to call a lawyer will probably and should get hit with a frivolous lawsuit penalty. Those nuts deserved to be penalized because I'm sure the zoo are more than happy to provide them with a 100% refund so there isn't really a case.
