For those whose rebate got declined, you can try to file a complaint with your state attorney general and request an extra $20 for the inconvenience. Worked for me... Just have to do it every time I submit an AAP rebate...

FYI most of the May 5.1 qt claims are being denied with this email:

- Sku(s) on the transaction does not fit the rebate(s): Manuf.Code = 1 and Item Name = Valvoline NextGen Oil (5) quarts or (1) 5.1 Quart Jug

You can just return the oil as I am going to do, but those of you who will use the oil before the rebate is processed should proceed with caution.

For online orders enter Store #1020 and Register #1 along with your Order ID or just use the store info from the online pickup receipt that prints out at the register

Old rebate was AAP-10003 valid from 12/28/2011 til 3/27/2012
New rebate is AAP-10008 valid from 3/28/2012 til 4/24/2012
Limit 1 per household if you want to avoid any rebate hassles

Don't worry about the "$20.00 in qualifying purchase" wording the rebate -- its just saying that in order to qualify for the $20.00 Amex GC you need to buy 1 5+qt jug OR 5 1qt bottles (you can't buy just 4 1qt bottles and expect a rebate)

Some people get the rebate back fast and others will take a while so you'll just have to wait
