Okie, the manual in the above link states clearly that the aux audio input is not available. ----------------------------------------- Using optional audio components (except fro MHC-EC69i) ----------------------------------------- Probably the upper models of EC79i & etc might have aux inputs. not a great deal for me. thanks, OP

review from amazon says Sony MHC-EC69i doesn't have audio input. http://www.amazon.com/Sony-MHC-EC...ewpoints=1 someone there mentioned "However, there is no alt input despite the description and despite the fact that Sony says it's there". the one with 3.5mm line in is MHC-EC69i/C2.
