The NSZ-GT1 will take care of Netflix, Pandora, and local media playback without issue (albeit the last one might work a bit better if you buy a 3rd party application from the Play Store). Hulu Plus runs perfectly if you decide to root your device (meaning do NOT install any updates when you receive it and go through a different setup process). Note that if you wish to use the Google TV interface as an overlay, you'll need an HDMI-in connection otherwise you'd need to switch inputs on your TV each time to utilize the device.

1: GoogleTV comes out and doesn't work with all the major cable providers. Customers have to wait for Comcast, Time Warner, Cox, DirecTV etc to allow, program, open their services to work with GoogleTV. The only provider to 'embrace' GoogleTV on release was Dish. Do you think that was out of the kindness of their heart or because Google threw some money at them?

2: Hulu. For Hulu, GoogleTV would seem to be a win. A popular product from a huge name, adds more subscribers to Hulu's service. Why is Hulu blocked then? Google didn't throw them money.

3: Your argument is based on the providers needing to suck up to Google, and that's backwards. Google is very much what Microsoft was in the 90's, entitled, unsinkable, and therefore above getting dirty with partnerships and alliances.

Here's the deal. Back in early design stages for GTV, Google throws millions of dollars at Hulu, Netflix, Comcast/Xfinity, HBO Go, Showtime, Amazon Unbox, ESPN, etc. When GoogleTV is released all of these services are available as apps right there in the dock. GoogleTV is a huge seller and a major success.



You think when Apple devised the iTunes/iPod universe, it would be anything more than a footnote if they didn't spend beaucoup money on the studios?
