Awesome deal.. the software is no longer supported by ubisoft but looks like it works great nonetheless..

any idea how much a kit would weigh?
(have to calculate if it'll fit within my baggage allowance)

I always wondered where laser tag went. It's had a couple of incarnations, but I still remember that sweet white rifle.

I'd be down with this if it was a little cheaper or had more guns (8 would be nice =]) Or, y'know, I lived in a city that had forests and places to play around with this stuff.

Do you have to connect to the computer to play every time? Can't you just go run around in a field and zap each other?

And does anyone have any idea if the range is adequate? I think it said 300m, which doesn't sound like a ton, but probably is good enough (I had the original World of Wonder Laser Tag/black gun...I feel like that range was maybe 150m?). Better than paintball/airsoft?

8 guns for around $100 would be the sweet spot

and yes you have to have a computer around since the software keeps track of the score automatically
software is kinda buggy but you can find a nice list of fixes here ...http://members5.boardhost.com/laz...49149.html

If you just need 2 guns, 1saleaday is offering a similar deal for $65 through buy.com [buy.com]

Or- 4 for that matter for 130; etc...

Of course, "need" is a relative term here. This is a classic impulse slickdeal IMO. =)

Can more guns be bought separately? I take it the vests are also necessary?

So, when you go play in a forrest or field or whatever, you have to bring a laptop? Uhhhh...that sucks.

There really is no way to play an old-school laser tag (like, each person has five "hits" and then they're dead) game?

How silly.

The angry joe show on YouTube reviewed the game. One gun died just after playing once.
Other reviews mention things being quirky.

I think I this were amazon and not 1saleaday or it was $30 cheaper, I'd give it a try.
