This looks like a good deal to me and I have a $10 coupon for newegg to boot. My laptop is only SataII so this will be fine and more than enough space.

Unless you're making bulk transfers of large data all day long, it won't make a difference since most computing really depends on smaller data transfer (watch the 4K random read/write speeds, not the sequential speeds). Besides, for this product, the sequential speeds don't even pass the 375 MB/s barrier for SATAII ports. |

Not going to say speed is everything, but SATAIII drives with the same storage space are already hitting the $210 price point. In fact, I just bought one from TigerDirect. Granted it requires a rebate.

The Sandisk Ultra is cheap because it only contains async NAND, not just because of the SATAII. Async gets much slower real world speeds compared to synch NAND.
