Narrowing Down Notification phrase

Hi All,

I was wondering what the mechanics behind the keyword phrase were when setting up a notification. I ran quickly through the new user primer and didn't find any of the answers, nor did a quick search come up with anything relevant.

Is the exact phrase matched? ex "foo bar" would match "This is foo bar" but not "Foo is related to Bar"

If not the above, do all words have to be matched in order to receive the notification? ex: "Awww foo"

Is there any way to negate words from the search? ex: I dont want all deals with the words foo and bar in them but not if they also include furby.

Those general questions I'm hoping will help to solve my more specific issue:
I've set up a notification for keyword phrase "hard drive" and am getting a lot of deals showing up for complete systems desktop or laptop. I just want deals on hard drives. I'd like to filter out notifications that contain desktop or laptop. Another possible solution will be to setup multiple notifications with hard drive "brand-name", but I'd prefer to have just a single rule.

Use hyphen for negation. I suggest adding -laptop -desktop to your keyword phrase.

Match


"This is foo bar"
as well as
"Foo is related to Bar"

The order of words does not matter. If you want it to matter, put quotes around it.
