Rechargeable battery clearance @ Harbor Freight B&M only, YMMV
i was at Harbor Freight (zip 91910) yesterday, and noticed they have the "pre-charged" rechargeable batteries with C and D cell adapters on clearance. The online price doesn't reflect the clearance price, so this is probably a B&M only and YMMV.
2 Piece AA Pre-Charged NiMH Rechargeable Batteries With C Adapter (http://www.harborfreig ht.com/2-pi...67858.html) - clearance price was $2.97
2 Piece AA Pre-Charged NiMH Rechargeable Batteries With D Adapter (http://www.harborfreig ht.com/2-pi...67862.html) - clearance price was $3.97
These include batteries, so the batteries alone is a good deal. These rechargeables hold their charge for a long time, like the Sanyo Eneloops batteries, which are usually around $2.00~$2.50 per battery (AA). These come out to $1.50~$2.00 per AA battery and you can consider the C and D cell adapters as a free bonus!
I have eneloops, and I have had these for a few months now. They seem to work just as well, but I don't have long term data (like 2--3 yrs) to say anything about them beyond that. My La Crosse battery charger tells me these batteries charge to between 2300 - 2400 mAh and they are rated for 2300 mAh so they do seem to be true to their energy capacity rating.
