Capital One Venture - $0 renewal fee YMMV

I'f you've got a Capital One Venture credit card that offered a 100k bonus last year, they might wave the yearly fee for you.

I started a chat, because I couldn't find the option to cancel it, and when they asked me why I was cancelling, I told them because of the yearly fee. The agent instantly waived it!

Thanks. I was able to get to the chat. However they wouldnt waive my fee instead they said they could downgrade my card to a lower rewards card with no annual membership fee. They also said that I could try contacting them again after the fee is charged to see if they could waive it. Were you already charged a fee when you contacted them?

But I didn't sound too interested to keep the card, when I started the call. Said that I do not travel that often anymore and paying an annual fee did not make sense. BTW...I was already charged the fee and had a few days to pay it...

Decided to convert it to the 1.5% cash rewards card.
