I agree that getting yourself a new card with new phone number and gold status transferred to it is the best option for many reasons + those noted above. If your friends still want a 20% discount, they'll have to shop with you or no dice. It's too complicated otherwise. Do your friends realize that they probably could have reached silver or gold on their own, with their own card, by now? And still could? Absolutely the best deal I've ever found. ![]() Adopt a shelter pet (or two). They're waiting for you.(Thanks lovetodeal for getting me to 1000) S I L E N C E I S G O L D E N. I just received 3 postcards from Inmar telling me my Phys Formula TMF rebates (all 3) were disqualified because they were "postmarked after last valid postmark date." What date they think that was, they don't say. And when I check my submissions online it says the "date posted" are 1/24. This must mean the date they dealt with it and not the date postmarked by the USPS.
I was assured by a postal employee that my envelopes would be postmarked "that day" (which was 1/14). I thought the postmark deadline was 1/15. Now I do realize that unless I actually saw my envelopes being postmarked, that I can't know for sure when they were postmarked. However, the vague info I got from Inmar doesn't tell me what the last postmark date actually was for the promotion. I want to call and ask them when the deadline was. If they say the 15th, I'll probably let it go but, depending on my mood, I might also ask for my envelopes back so I can check the postmarks on them. My understanding has been that late submissions just get returned as the PO box is closed. Anyone have a similar experience? What did you do? P.S. Pretty please refrain from adding insult to injury by lecturing me on waiting until nearly the last minute to submit my rebates. I'm not asking for leniency from PF, just a clarification on whether we were working off the same postmark deadline.

I'm definitely calling, by the way. I've been denied rebates over the years and I usually just let it go, but something really doesn't seem right this time. |

All righty....I have racked up WAY too many UPs yet again. (almost $400). I am not comfortable with that high amount because it gets too stressful thinking of rolling them all before they expire. IN the past I would have dumped my UPs into the SCRs to cash some out. Now what? Are there any items that RA sells that resell on ebay or craigs list for a good return? If so, I will cash out that way. Thoughts?

Osteo Biflex is also a good one. There are also $3 & $5 MQs for those (2/10 RP) and they are BOGO the week of 2/24. I think there was a VV Q in January for that, too. Norelco electric trimmers and razors are very good, consistent sellers. Find IPQs for those on couponnetwork.com I've also found TMF rebate tags on some Salon Grafix items and they are on sale BOGO this week as well. I'm not sure how often you sell on the bay, but remember to factor in selling fees and shipping costs. They've both gotten pretty high. HTH! P.S. May I ask roughly how much you spend OOP to end up with $400 UPs? Just curious... okay, so I'm nosy.

They were just kicking around in my stockpile for a long time and one day noticed the price they were selling for on the bay. yowza! I really appreciate the suggestions! I am going to stock up on some of the vits...easier/cheaper to ship those than shavers. I have 4 cards that I usually max out all the weekly deals with. I am a post coupon tax state or I wouldn't be shopping as much! This week my OOP (on an RA gift card) for the 4-6 transactions I have done is less than $2.00. I started the year with about $100 UPs. But with both RA50 events on all cards....the UPs have just been adding up. If you think about the deals that we post MOST of them are free or MM or really cheap. The Anniversary UPs are all icing on the cake. I have 4 cards that are all at about 900 points already and have already maxed out 3 of them on this round of Anniversary rewards. I should have planned that better in order to spread out those UPs. So, my OOP isn't at the store level - it is in my coupons. I buy coupons & inserts off the bay. That's my OOP.Over the summer I had about $600 in UPs - bought a ton of summer clearance to stock my garage sales. And I will also spend money on Tide deals because those are hot sellers - ALWAYS. It ebbs and flows. Just hate getting up this high because inevitably we hit a dry spell (like the next 2 weeks!) and then I have to scramble. Takes the fun out of it for me when it becomes stressful. I already have a full time job! Last edited by mnaath; 02-14-2013 at 09:26 AM.. |

you think $1.49 is good for softsoap? I only get $1 for it at my sales or sell for 3/$2. It goes fast though. But I don't think i could price it at $1.50. Regions vary so much as to what you can get for something. The discussion on the garage sale thread around hair dye is a good example. Ugh. I just donated 60 boxes of Samy Fat Foam - couldn't even sell it for a $1 at any of my sales. I have the rest of mine marked at $2 and sell 2-4 each sale. Not fast enough for all the space they take up! My sister lives in MI - near the ghetto! and she can get $5 for a bottle of tide (small)...Mine sat at $5 but flew at $4. Go figure. She sells a boatload of make-up. I sell a few pieces here and there and everything is marked $3 and under. But, my prices are lower than average overall but I make up for it in volume. Sorry to ramble...geesh. |
