This is O/T, but I need some advice. DD age 18 who is away at college has a yeast infection and has been using Monistat 7 for 3 days. This morning it is worse. I found a pill called AZO and was wondering if anyone has any fist hand experience with this product or maybe one similar. I would really appreciate any feedback.

I always thought AZO was for UTI's (or they've increased their product line...) YI never fun - frozen plain (greek) yogurt "fingers" SwagSearch it lol - works though!

I saw the AZO on Amazon and I can get it delivered by tomorrow. Haha googled the yogurt, DD will love that one, but hey if it works. I'm all for it.. Thanks for the help. Just wanted to pass this along:
You also have the option of freezing yogurt in disposable gloves, thereby creating yogurt fingers or frozen yogurt tampons

I don't have any advice on the particular problem, but I can sure sympathize. I had a sick DD away at college 3 hours away for 4 years. She was horribly sick a lot of the time before she had her gallbladder out towards the end of her final year. It really tears at a mother's heart when you can't be right there to make it all better.

Thanks, yes it is difficult. She is only an hour away, but hates it there. We are working on transfer apps. now and she will be a commuter. I am going to get her tomorrow afternoon so she will have a few days at home. They never cut the umbilical cord. haha

I can relate to both of these stories.

When I was away at college, I was really sick my second semester of freshman year and my roommate was so concerned, she called my mom to pick me up. I literally had slept for close to 24 hours straight. I felt horrible and the only thing I wanted was ice cold apple juice and my mom.

Two years after I graduated from college, I had gallstones. It turns out that I actually had gallstones my senior year but was misdiagnosed with muscle spasms for 2 years. Since my pain presented in my back and I didn't get sick (some people throw up a lot), it was thought of as a muscle problem. The doctor didn't do any testing (I now have a different PCP). At that point, I was living at home so my mom was close by but it is the worst pain/sickness I've ever experienced. I was doubled over in pain, my ears practically wringing because it hurt so bad. I never want to feel anything that bad again...

It's funny because all I ever wanted was my mom during that whole time. I was 25 when I had my gallstones out. I don't think that'll change anytime soon. She still comes with me to major appointments...like with the wrist surgeon.

Does anyone know what the cheapest price for the Maybelline Lip Color is as i didn't get to check when I was in the store? I know the Baby Lips is cheap but I didn't think that fit under lip color since it's lip balm. I have a few more mascara & any coupons left but I have a bunch of lip colors q's left.

I think the Baby Lips comes in tinted, so I don't know if it would apply or not? The Baby Lips is around $3.79. Probably not helpful, but it's the only one I know.

you might want to bring her to see an OB... it may not be a yeast infection. Usually after the first application of the Monistat brings significant relief.

I agree but I think you should take her to a GYN not OB since she isn't pregnant

Just venting about my weird RA chat today.....

I decided to chat with CS to find out where I was at with my diabetes tracking so I would know how much I need to get to get another diabetes +Up. She finally determined that I had not signed up for the diabetes program. So she said I'll will need to sign up, get all my receipts together and contact them again so they can add them.

Ummm, okay. I had also told her I received a $10 diabetes +Up when I purchased the NM diabetes health packs on Monday. Didn't matter to her because they do not show me being signed up. Low and behold I go check my wellness account and I also have the mystery card number showing. This might explain what she could not find me.

But, the reason I'm here...did anyone else realize they started a new wellness+ diabetes program on 4/4/12. Wonder if this means we will have to remember to sign up quarterly? Okay, I'm off to chat with RA again.

Thanks for the advice everyone. I guess I should go the Gyn route. I did make the yogurt popsicles and DH can't stop laughing. He thinks it would make a nice summer treat. Men!!!!!

Highly recommend her seeing a physician on this one to get her on an antibiotic stat.

I went to college 2,000 miles from my hometown. When I got sick for the first time, I had to walk a mile in the snow (in negative degree weather) to the nearest store to get some cold medicine. All I wanted to do was sleep but I definitely missed having a family member taking care of me, that's for sure!

It's usually combined I call my lady doctor my "OB" for short.
