Of my local 7-ish stores, have never been told that. They are all super coupon-friendly and push them thru. The closest I have come is 1 store telling me they don't get credit for manual coupons. That is just ONE cashier there...all the others manually input with not an eyelash batted. Big Grin
It's been ok, we'll push it through for you this time but the next time we can't do it. One of the issues was with Colgate. The toothpaste coupon starting beeping after the 2nd one (but only at that store, I had no problems at any other RA with all 4 scanning) and the toothbrush coupon wouldn't scan at all. This was a week ago after they had "updated" their software to make sure that the registers worked "perfectly". I'm not a regular at this store but with the GOS I was good for 2 or 3 big orders this month. Now, I'll probably pass and just go to another RA where I know that I won't have a problem.

Sorry for a noobie question... I forgot to use one of my $10 Anniversary rewards that expired 2/9. Is there anyway I can use the reward now?

If you have a coupon-friendly or UPs friendly store in your area or good relationship with the folks at your store...ask them if you can use it, all they have to do is manually type in the first 11 digits and it will go thru just fine for about 10 days post expiration.

Call cust service and ask for a new card. Tell them you think a friend took it, and they know your phone number. They will issue you a new card, just use a new phone number, and transfer your gold status to the new card.
Probably the best option because if they do use your phone number they can still shop with your account.... Also, besides them using your UPs they may also max out deals that you may have wanted to do for yourself...

I agree that getting yourself a new card with new phone number and gold status transferred to it is the best option for many reasons + those noted above. If your friends still want a 20% discount, they'll have to shop with you or no dice. It's too complicated otherwise.

Do your friends realize that they probably could have reached silver or gold on their own, with their own card, by now? And still could?

I just received 3 postcards from Inmar telling me my Phys Formula TMF rebates (all 3) were disqualified because they were "postmarked after last valid postmark date." What date they think that was, they don't say. And when I check my submissions online it says the "date posted" are 1/24. This must mean the date they dealt with it and not the date postmarked by the USPS.

I was assured by a postal employee that my envelopes would be postmarked "that day" (which was 1/14). I thought the postmark deadline was 1/15. Now I do realize that unless I actually saw my envelopes being postmarked, that I can't know for sure when they were postmarked. However, the vague info I got from Inmar doesn't tell me what the last postmark date actually was for the promotion.

I want to call and ask them when the deadline was. If they say the 15th, I'll probably let it go but, depending on my mood, I might also ask for my envelopes back so I can check the postmarks on them. My understanding has been that late submissions just get returned as the PO box is closed. Anyone have a similar experience? What did you do?

P.S. Pretty please Pray refrain from adding insult to injury by lecturing me on waiting until nearly the last minute to submit my rebates. I'm not asking for leniency from PF, just a clarification on whether we were working off the same postmark deadline.

Well, I certainly won't lecture you on waiting until the last minute, since I am usually the one rushing to the post office 20 minutes before closing on the last possible postmark day. That being said, when i walk my envelopes up to the counter and tell them that I need them postmarked today, they pull out the stamp and postmark them right in front of me. One of the ladies said that when you just throw them in the mailbox, sometimes they don't get postmarked at all. I have had a rebate denied for a late postmark once, and when I told them that I witnessed it being postmarked, they relented and said they would send it. I think that sometimes their reason for denying it isn't valid.

Thanks for your advice and thoughts on the matter. I appreciate it. Wish I could rep you but SD says I have repped too much in the last 24 hours.

I'm definitely calling, by the way. I've been denied rebates over the years and I usually just let it go, but something really doesn't seem right this time.

All righty....I have racked up WAY too many UPs yet again. (almost $400). I am not comfortable with that high amount because it gets too stressful thinking of rolling them all before they expire. IN the past I would have dumped my UPs into the SCRs to cash some out. Now what? Are there any items that RA sells that resell on ebay or craigs list for a good return? If so, I will cash out that way. Thoughts?

Ocuvite (for age 50+ mostly, but other varieties too) sells pretty good. There was a VV Q in January (if you watched it) and a $5 MQ (1/6 SS) and a $3 MQ (2/10 SS). I get between $30-$35 (incl shipping) for two 50ct boxes on eBay. Sells consistently & fast.

Osteo Biflex is also a good one. There are also $3 & $5 MQs for those (2/10 RP) and they are BOGO the week of 2/24. I think there was a VV Q in January for that, too.

Norelco electric trimmers and razors are very good, consistent sellers. Find IPQs for those on couponnetwork.com

I've also found TMF rebate tags on some Salon Grafix items and they are on sale BOGO this week as well.

I'm not sure how often you sell on the bay, but remember to factor in selling fees and shipping costs. They've both gotten pretty high. HTH!

P.S. May I ask roughly how much you spend OOP to end up with $400 UPs? Just curious... okay, so I'm nosy. Smilie

Ad for 2/17 Softsoap is 1.49 good price if you are a reseller. Ad for 2/24 has RA coupons and with the 6$/1 mfg ( 2/24 insert) schick coupon many of the schick razors will be very cheap. It does not indicate what dollars/cents off but states a coupon is in the 2/24 insert so Schick hydro or skintimate shave gel should be cheap with 20% discount.

Anyone buy the 32" Craig TV? Is it decent? Also does anyone know if the $20 +up reward with the $199 price be coming around again anytime soon?

Tia!

THANK YOU! I sell on and off. Just last week sold 6 bottles of Benefiber for $200!!!! Big Grin They were just kicking around in my stockpile for a long time and one day noticed the price they were selling for on the bay. yowza!

I really appreciate the suggestions! I am going to stock up on some of the vits...easier/cheaper to ship those than shavers.

I have 4 cards that I usually max out all the weekly deals with. I am a post coupon tax state or I wouldn't be shopping as much! bounce This week my OOP (on an RA gift card) for the 4-6 transactions I have done is less than $2.00. I started the year with about $100 UPs. But with both RA50 events on all cards....the UPs have just been adding up. If you think about the deals that we post MOST of them are free or MM or really cheap. The Anniversary UPs are all icing on the cake. I have 4 cards that are all at about 900 points already and have already maxed out 3 of them on this round of Anniversary rewards. I should have planned that better in order to spread out those UPs. So, my OOP isn't at the store level - it is in my coupons. I buy coupons & inserts off the bay. That's my OOP.

Over the summer I had about $600 in UPs - bought a ton of summer clearance to stock my garage sales. And I will also spend money on Tide deals because those are hot sellers - ALWAYS.

It ebbs and flows. Just hate getting up this high because inevitably we hit a dry spell (like the next 2 weeks!) and then I have to scramble. Takes the fun out of it for me when it becomes stressful. I already have a full time job!

Thanks for the heads up on Schick! May need to stock up on some coupons. And the skintimate bogos I have don't expire until 26-27th so that is good.

you think $1.49 is good for softsoap? I only get $1 for it at my sales or sell for 3/$2. It goes fast though. But I don't think i could price it at $1.50.
Regions vary so much as to what you can get for something. The discussion on the garage sale thread around hair dye is a good example. Ugh. I just donated 60 boxes of Samy Fat Foam - couldn't even sell it for a $1 at any of my sales. I have the rest of mine marked at $2 and sell 2-4 each sale. Not fast enough for all the space they take up!
My sister lives in MI - near the ghetto! and she can get $5 for a bottle of tide (small)...Mine sat at $5 but flew at $4. Go figure. She sells a boatload of make-up. I sell a few pieces here and there and everything is marked $3 and under. But, my prices are lower than average overall but I make up for it in volume. Sorry to ramble...geesh.
