RITE AID CHAT THREAD

This thread is being created for us to come and talk/chat. The Rite Aid Deals thread is for the deal talk. So hopefully this thread will help decrease the off topic chatter in the deals thread and we all have a place to chat with each other. nod

Wanted to add that this chat group will follow the same rules of the Lounge. Rules are located here: http://slickdeals.net/forums/showthread.php?sduid=0&t=1091306

Does anyone know what resets RA is doing? Saw a manager I know from one store in another store. He's been bouncing around for 'resets' that some other managers are helping with...

OAN, my fave store let me get 9 skintimate at once (3 transactions). When I asked if I could order, they ordered me 15 visine and 8 Bic razors for 4/7. Then asked if I could come in every mon morning to tell them what items to order extra of! Said they see the ads but don't know what the couponers will want. Bonus for me! They'll order extra for me, and my store will have plenty of stock for all the couponers! :-)

I just hit 500 points the other day and had been wondering that as well. Their website was being dysfunctional so I had to Google to find out what the options were. I know I should have known better than to believe they would actually give away a gym membership, but I had remembered reading something about that being one of the rewards. I guess the two weeks of Curves is the free gym membership? Maybe it's not even offered now but wow that seems misleading to me.

On another note, does anyone have experience returning an item that they paid for using Ups? I used $30 worth the other day and then changed my mind on the items. I went back to the store and actually had three employees telling me that I would lose the value of my Ups on my return. I then asked if I could just return without a receipt for merchandise credit and one of the guys actually told me no because it was "in his memory" or something like that, that I had used Ups and had an out of pocket of $4. Add to that, while I was debating with the three different employees on this, I had another customer in line behind me put in her two cents about it as well. O-M-G. I knew after the memory comment that I was wasting my time. I called corporate on my way home and was told that they should be able to do the return and give me credit for my Ups and to have them call corporate if they don't know how. Just wondering if anyone else has any experience with this? I was pretty ticked off yesterday with them...

My store is really easy to deal with. They've always given me cash back, since I make sure that I pay the tax and low subtotal in cash. It doesn't matter if I mainly paid with coupons and UPs, they just look at the bottom of the receipt and see cash. All the employees have been trained to be coupon friendly. It's nice.

Thanks! I'm going to go back in today and hopefully get it straightened out.

Has anyone else besides me had issues when paying with a debit card at Rite Aid? Today I swiped my debit card and the total I paid ended up being $.13 more than my bill so the computer told the cashier to give me the change. Yesterday when I paid with my card, my card was charged $.68 less than the total on my bill and I ended up paying the difference in cash.

Neither time the cashier or I could figure out why.

When did RA change their online ad so you can't see your local one a week before? Just tried to view my local ad, and the date was not in the top. Am I doing something wrong? I loved that feature.

I guess coupon auto-deducted is not anymore at my store. I used 3 b1g1 free cesar coupons and I tried to scan my card at the end. only take $1 off. I used this coupon at cvs and it allowed auto-deduct 1.47.

After ups, it's $1 for 10 Cesars with it taking off the correct amount and that's just fine with me (and my dog). I just wish that there was more stock...

Allergies sufferers: which OTC allergy medication works the best? Spring allergies are killing me! I've only tried Allegra so far but it looks like Rite Aid has some pretty good deals on Zyrtec & Claritin this week. Which one do you prefer? Which one is a better deal? Claritin this week with $3 in-ad Q, $5 MQ, and $5 +UP, or Zyrtec next week with $7 MQ and $5 RAQ?

Last time I visited cvs and asked phymacist about which allergy meds is better, she said its really depends on personal preference and you have to try which one works for you. She did mention Claritin seems more popular at the end. Hope it helps.

I personally prefer the zyrtec. The first dose takes a few hours to kick in but it really lasts 24 hours and seems to target the hayfever symptoms only. I find the claritin makes my mouth too dry, unlike the zyrtec.HTH
